Expression

Expression....not a light word I suppose? Again it is all about perspective, isn't it?  Some people are really good with this. They talk it out with the people they trust-family, friends, teachers. But as social media took over, people started judging. The movies, tv shows started to put many unrealistic goals into the very energetic youth. The youth chooses to channelize this energy into achieving these unrealistic goals. They have hope that 1 day their life will be a "dream come true". Having hope is perfectly fine but choose wisely where to invest it, in what to believe.

So as I was saying that social media took over, expression a very important element of life faded away. But it is okay if you don't wanna go around pouring your heart out to people. But that energy which you have, it may be positive or negative or something as common as boredom; That needs channeling. People suggest write diaries, but I kinda don't like that idea...you see writing takes a lot of time, so as you are writing it you are going through those thoughts again and again, so if it is a happy memory, sure write it down and relive it. But if it is anger or sadness are you sure you wanna relive those memories again and again? Go through all the thoughts you were having when you were in that situation, again? So I think I may have some other things you might wanna channelize your emotions into and they are pretty cool

First of all, I would recommend painting. Now if you are a complete rookie, dw I have some simple paintings here.

                                                                                      They don't really
                need an artistic hand
 the only thing they
 need is concentration.

 Try channelizing all of your
energy into getting the closest version one of the above   paintings.

Even the process of mixing the colours to make the apt shade takes time and the feeling when you get the perfect shade, just amazing!

By the end of the painting, your anxiety or whatever it is will have subsided and you have a beautiful painting to put up in your bedroom.

If you start to like it for real...you can create some images in your head and try to pen it down on the canvas.

It can be as simple as a cycle or your fav food or simple household objects such as mugs.

Secondly, I think that writing a book can help. You have the complete freedom of the characters and their backstories. You can make up the basic the character from the people you know in real life. Have you ever wondered what is the touch of eternity? Or the beauty of forever? Or the life of a tree not able to move in it's whole life. Any random thoughts like these, you should pen it down. Who knows? You may become the "Enid Blyton" of this century.

Well, another pretty obvious form of expression would be blogging, of course. You can write anything you want. Be anonymous if you are insecure about anything. In due course maybe you will learn that everybody has at least half a dozen of 'cringe' memories. They feel easy to go through with your friends and close ones, maybe you, yourself will start laughing at the way you acted and it will be all okay. You can also write certain memories like your experience at a camp or a night over or anything. .This does sound like a school essay but just give it a try. If you are still not convinced...I'll try to illustrate:

"My family and I had taken a trip to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The experience was mesmerizing. The day we were going to the beach, everyone was excited...yup the adults included.  I do not blame anyone cuz now who wouldn't like to feel the warmth of the sand while looking at the sunset with the perfect breeze and get a dip in the water? The beach was way better than I imagined it to be. There were no fish near the coast. It was filled with sand, rocks and starfish. The younger generation decided to go a little deep into the sea. We played in the water like little kids in the water tub. Some of us took a long stroll along the coast. There were tall shady trees surrounding it. That feeling...the light, open and fresh stroll was one of a kind for the most of us, as in the densely polluted city we live in, finding a good parking spot is by far the most pleasure one can endure. Finally, the sun started to set in.

There was a beautiful arch into which the sun fit almost perfectly. The sunrays bend upon the sea waves, the sound of the waves gently touching the sand and moving backward as if they had committed a crime. We took a lot of photos with the naturally occurring spectacular of a background. Later the sun set, leaving us behind a calm, non-cloudy, clear night. The face of the sky and the stars, crystal clear, bent upon us with the bright moonlight reflecting on the serene waves. This moment needed to be felt...not be captured in any photo or a boomerang. It was this spur of a moment that I understood the true meaning of "living in the moment". "

Now, you can also add your personal details to the journal like photos or hashtags or inside jokes. (maybe nicknames of the people you hate/love :p). So what I mean to say is expression does not to be formal or held by the rules, it is free. Express any way you want. Enjoy the process :)

These were just some random thoughts of mine...in the end it is you, who has to find your own anchor. It may be dancing, writing songs, writing letters, cooking or working. Cuz in the end expression is an art, everyone has their own way of expressing their art. No rights and no wrongs. It's the only kind of freedom without responsibility.

ik this is too long but i would really be glad if you read the whole thing (even if its in bits n pieces)

Thank you :)
